Experience
From 01 September 2009 and continuing Anthony has been a sole Solicitor.
From 28 April 2008 to 31 August 2009 Anthony was Manager, Community Referral Service & Dispute Resolution, The Law Society of NSW.
Anthony managed:
- the Community Referral Service which refers clients who can pay for legal services to an appropriate law firm.
- the Pro Bono Scheme.
- the Dispute Resolution Department.
As a separate function Anthony was also, until August 2008 the Responsible Legal Officer and Executive Member of the Law Society's Business Law Committee and supervised its activities.
From November 2003 to April 2008 Anthony was sole Legal Information Officer, The Law Society of NSW and provided telephone assistance to members in relation to conveyancing, general litigation, family law, wills and estates, legal practice, the sale and purchase of legal practices and a wide variety of other topics including costs and conduct.
From 1999 to 2003 Anthony worked as a locum, in country NSW, Sydney city and suburbs and Newcastle for legal practices and for:
- The Department of Fair Trading Legal Services Division acting in relation to building matters;
- Building Insurers Guarantee Corporation, a statutory corporation, as sole in house solicitor in relation to builders insurance and claims against licenced conveyancers and
- Harvey Norman, a public company, as sole in house counsel.
From 1973 to 1999 Anthony practiced in country NSW as an employee, then partner and then as a sole practitioner solicitor. His practice was predominantly:
- Conveyancing, small and large, including residential, strata, rural and commercial; residential leases, retail leases, commercial leases, Old System title, Real Property Act title and Crown Land

- Elder law including entering aged care facilities

Other experience
Government related committees
Anthony has been a member of the following government related committees:
Federation Fund Community Projects Electorate Selection Committee, appointed a member for the Federal Electorate of Eden Monaro.
South East NSW Area Consultative Committee, appointed as a member and was the head of the Education subcommittee, one of four sub-committees.
The Committee operates in respect of an area covering 5 Local Government areas in South East NSW promoting work opportunities with a strong emphasis on assisting indigenous Australians and small businesses.
Eden Regional Adjustment Package Advisory Committee, appointed as a member by the Federal Government to provide advice to 2 Federal Ministers in relation to the distribution of a substantial sum of assistance money in the Eden NSW area.
Honorary Solicitor
Anthony has been the Honorary Solicitor for a Surf Life Saving Club, a Swimming Club and two Legacy groups.
Legacy
He was a member of Legacy until late 2007.
Apex
He was a member of Apex for more than ten (10) years during which time he held many board positions including President, Secretary and Service Director.
Law Society
He is a current full member of The Law Society of NSW.
He was President from January 1991 to January 1993 of the Far South Coast and Monaro Regional Law Society.
He was a member of the Property Law Practice Committee of The Law Society of NSW in 1996, 1997, and 1999 and a member of the Property Law Committee in 2000 and 2001. A function of the Committees was to resolve disputes between parties to property transactions.
He was appointed to The Law Society of NSW Presidents Panel of Arbitrators in 1998.
Surf Life Saving
He is an Active Reserve member of a Surf Life Saving Club.
School
As a Solicitor he has been a High School Mock Trial Judge and High School Team coach and has attended a High School to take classes in Legal Studies.
Football
For a number of football seasons he was deputised as Chairman of the Far South Coast Rugby Union Football Disciplinary Committee to deal with disciplinary matters in the Southern area and conducted and chaired hearings.
